The history of the Poor Knights of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon , known more simply as the Templars , has a history of about two centuries in which the Knights, whose work is traced back to Hugues de Payens, founder and first Master General of the Order (and not Grand Master as some historiography and cinematography has accustomed us to).
In order not to bore the navigator we have condensed the most important aspects of Templar history from the foundation to the destruction by Philip IV known as the Fair and his Grand Inquisitor of France William of Nogaret with the silence of Pope Clement V (elected by Philip IV after the death of Pope Boniface VIII), and we preferred to focus on the post-burning of Jacques de Molay in front of the Notre Dames de Paris cathedral.
